One of Japan’s most accomplished DJs, DJ Kentaro aligns with Nixon on one of their minimalistic watch styles, The Private. The watches final result is far from subtle however as DJ Kentaro puts together a multi-colored package featuring a multi-toned watch strap and a black/green face. The watch’s hands are also done up in different colors with a yellow crown featuring the Nixon logo.
Gucci Icon: Temporary Pop-Up Sneaker Stores?
Ok for some reason everybody has "Gucci" in some shape or form so Gucci will be trying in hopes of offering a different approach to retail. Gucci will launch their latest pop-up shop style endeavor with their Gucci Icon-Temporary project. Six to seven marquee “tastemaker” events will play host to 2-3 week long pop-up shop including Art Basel Miami and Crosby Street, New York. In addition to sneakers and footwear from the in-line Gucci collection, DJ and music-maker Mark Ronson has designed a special capsule of sneakers with items releasing at each of the different locations.
Greedy Genius Ocean Runner – ‘Big Blue’
Greedy Genius is back in action with a new version of their boat shoe/sneaker hybrid, “Ocean Runner”. Similar to one of the colorways we showed you a few months ago, the new ‘Big Blue’ model uses a deep navy to accentuate its nautical design elements, this time choosing to forgo the use of lighter detailing. Featuring bold lacing details and a crisp honeycomb outsole, the shoe has proven to be one of Greedy Genius’ more successful models. No release date yet, but you can expect the colorway to drop early in the holiday season.

It was not until the early 1960 that leggings were being worn in gymnasiums as exercise clothing and later on the streets as a new fashion trend. Fashionable leggings are usually made from a combination of Cotton and Lycra, which allows designers to be more creative with the design and gave the product a tougher material, avoiding holes and ripping when being worn.
Leggings made a big comeback in 2005 and have been very visible ever since. With the help of celebrities and stylist alike, leggings are a must in every girls’ closet. Not only are leggings very fashionable and can flatter even the most unflattering figures if worn correctly, there are unlimited ways of pairing your leggings with other pieces of clothing that would make you stand out from the crowd.

Since the X-games was last week here is the Supra TK Society X-Games edition. We were all pleasantly surprised with the height of Terry Kennedy’s signature supra shoes when they first came out, but now the attention cravers and shoe fanatics alike cannot wait to get their hands on this shoes. We are getting close to the release of the Reebok x Commonwealth Pump Omni Lite Pack. The pack consists of three sneakers, each coming with a leather/mesh upper and a bunch of nice details. CMON is embroidered on the heel and in general the heel comes in contrasting colors to the rest of the sneaker. Commonwealth definitely managed to give the Pump Omni Lite some solid, yet also eye-catching color combinations. The release date has not been announced yet, but you can get ready for the release.

RIP Baatin
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Slum Village founding member Titas Glover, known as Baatin, has passed away at age 35. The group was -- and is -- somewhat legendary in the Detroit rap scene. Baatin had left Slum Village in 2003 to “rest,” but was reported to have returned for several tracks on the group's upcoming album, Villa Manifesto, scheduled for a September release. MLive.com stated that Baatin was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2004. Baatin recently performed in mid-July at the annual Rock the Bells hip-hop festival and it’s unclear if his death resulted from his illness, as concert goers said he appeared fine, though he did reportedly fall off a stage.
